Ashley Danielle Lyles



Ashley joined the firm in December of 2012 and handles the investigation, analysis and litigation of property claims and first-party coverage disputes; drafts coverage opinions for questionable coverage issues; and assists with third-party litigation claims.

Ashley has diverse experience in state and federal courts and has handled cases before various Illinois circuit courts, Illinois appellate courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm, Ashley was an associate at a major Chicago insurance defense firm where she specialized in defending insurers and self-insureds in matters of catastrophic loss, professional liability, products and construction law, and trucking and transportation. She also has experience leading complex commercial litigation cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. Ashley has participated in multiple jury trials and has successfully negotiated and obtained settlements in excess of one million dollars for her clients.

Ashley serves as a mentor for new lawyers through the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism Lawyer-to-Lawyer mentoring program. Ashley participates as a facilitator for the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism Law School Orientation Program where she leads discussions with incoming law students regarding the Rules of Professional Conduct and ethical issues involved in the practice of law.


Ms. Lyles graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Psychology in 2002. She received her J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law in December 2005.
