Emily A. Renfro




Ms. Renfro joined the firm in September 2013. She investigates claims, assesses coverage issues, and analyzes extra-contractual matters. She also litigates personal injury and first-party coverage disputes.

Previously, Ms. Renfro worked at a large property and casualty insurance company in the Corporate Governance and Product Operations divisions. Before attending law school, Ms. Renfro participated in a year-long governmental honors fellowship program within the Office of the General Counsel for the Governor of Illinois.


Ms. Renfro is licensed to practice in Illinois and Indiana. She is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Ms. Renfro is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, and the Lake County Bar Association.


Ms. Renfro received her B.S. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in May 2010. During the summer of 2009, Ms. Renfro worked for the legal department at a business consulting firm in Seville, Spain.

Ms. Renfro received her J.D., cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School in May 2015. She was a member of The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law Journal. She served as an Associate Justice of the Moot Court Honors Council Executive Board and competed in a national moot court competition. She also received The Jacqueline Forte Kidder Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Legal Writing.
