Gerald T. Rohrer, Jr.



Mr. Rohrer has devoted his career to defending local governmental entities, involving wrongful death cases, catastrophic personal injury claims and premises liability matters.  He also represents clients in breach of contract matters; post-sale litigation of closely held corporations; insurance coverage matters; mechanics’ lien and bond claims; property disputes; and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations involving promissory notes.  He has also obtained Appellate and Supreme Court victories.

He works closely with corporations to navigate the complexities of employment law issues, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, as well as operating agreements for limited liability corporations.


Mr. Rohrer is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.  He routinely gives presentations to professional groups on topics such as construction liability, insurance coverage issues including excess and umbrella insurance, and land surveyor law.  He is also a judge for law school trial advocacy competitions.


Mr. Rohrer graduated from The University of Dayton with a B.A. in 1991.  He received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 1997.
